CES 2022

Here are just some of the products that have been featuring in the media since the event, highlighting the increasing place of tech and devices in the beauty and well-being space:

NINU Smart Perfume (home device)

A 100-in-1 fragrance bottle controlled with an AI-powered app. Users can mix and match to create a personalised scent using a "precise blending system," which allows users to control the amounts they want to combine together. Additionally, the app's auto mode will suggest mixtures depending on the occasion, weather or season.

L’Oreal Colorsonic (home device)

This device works by dispensing the correct amount of hair colour and developer combined and then the bristles oscillate over 300 times a minute at a specific angle to evenly apply the colour. But the really clever part is that the device allows for the colour held inside to be used on more than one application so waste is minimised and you don’t have to mix more than you need.

AmorePacific ‘Bathbot’ Kiosk

The Bathbot uses a headset with in-built sensors to analyse brain waves and AI to create a personalised bath bomb with the colour and fragrance based on the analysis results. The robot then makes the bath bomb for the consumer to take home.

Preemadonna Nailbot (home device)

The Nailbot is an at-home manicure system that prints instant nail art and photos from your smartphone onto your fingernails.

At Bloom Regulatory we are really convinced that tech and devices in the beauty and wellness space is a growing trend with even more development to come. We are seeing more and more mainstream options for the consumer to access beauty salon quality products and treatments such as IPL, microdermabrasion and LED devices in the comfort of their home. The regulatory landscape for these products can be challenging but with our experience in beauty and wellness products we are really proud to support companies expanding in this area.
