About Formula and Label reviews
It is essential that your formula and label is compliant for every market you intend to sell your products in. There are different regulations globally, for example the EU Cosmetics Regulation No. 1223/2009 and FDA Food, Drug and Cosmetics Act, that determine what ingredients can be included in a formula and what requirements are mandatory for labels. It is important your labels and formulas are compliant before you go to market to ensure consumer safety and to aid a smooth passage to market, in particular, when crossing borders.

What can you expect from our formula and label - ready to market packages?
Formula reviews
We will screen all your ingredients against the relevant regulations to ensure they are within current restrictions. Additionally, for EU and GB, we will also check the ingredients against our own internal database to ensure they are not on any lists that may prohibit their use within the next 3-5 years.
Ingredients list creation
We will use the formula provided to create an accurate product ingredient listing. We ensure all ingredients are listed with the correct INCI/glossary names and in the correct order according to regulatory requirements. We will ensure allergens and colourants are listed correctly.
Label reviews
We will check your label contains all the mandatory information required for your label including any mandatory warnings depending on the product type or ingredients present. As well as this, we will screen your label for any red flags relating to claims (borderline medicinal, environmental, efficacy) that may not be suitable inclusion in your chosen market. This will include any logos present also. We can also include environmental labelling preparation for EU countries.
Recycling information
We will ensure that any relevant recycling information that is required is included on the packaging and advise you of the necessary requirements in your chosen market. If you would like us to validate the information within your recyclability labelling, we can provide a validation or creation service separately on request.
Translation requirements
Some markets will require certain aspects of the mandatory information to be translated on the label. Where you are going to be selling in one of these markets, we will advise you which information from your English label will also need to be translated and what language must be used. For French translations, we may also be able offer a separate in-house translation service (labels only).
